Spanish giants Real Madrid are interested in signing Bayern Munich’s left-back Alphonso Davies.
According to renowned journalist Florian Plettenberg, Madrid have asked Davies to not extend his contract with Bayern.
“Real Madrid definitely wants him. He’s the desired left-back target next summer. Real bosses in regular contact with his agent,” Plettenberg posted on X, which was formerly known as Twitter.
“Negotiations with Bayern about a new contract beyond 2025 continue to stall,” he added.
However, Plettenberg stated that Davies is not too eager for a move away from the Bundesliga club.
“A departure in the summer is possible. Generally, though, Davies feels comfortable at Bayern but Real Madrid is pushing,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid transfer saga have once again caught the attention of many as Los Blancos look to have the French striker for the upcoming season.
However, Mbappe's representatives have strongly refuted a report alleging his agreement to join the La Liga giants on a free transfer this summer.
Mbappe's contract with Paris Saint-Germain concludes at the end of the season, allowing him to engage in talks for a pre-contract arrangement with other clubs.
